Make energy visible, optimizable, and schedulable—because energy is often the dominant cost and constraint.

This links directly to two of your laws:

P1 (you only borrow): energy is never free; you must account for it.
P3 (gradients): many physical processes are literally gradient management (thermal/pressure/field).
