Power & Energy (Energy flow as first-class)
Purpose
Make energy visible, optimizable, and schedulable—because energy is often the dominant cost and constraint.
This links directly to two of your laws:
- P1 (you only borrow): energy is never free; you must account for it.
- P3 (gradients): many physical processes are literally gradient management (thermal/pressure/field).
Components
- charging / battery swap for robots
- metering and energy accounting
- thermal management (heat/cooling)
- energy-aware scheduling (peak shaving, demand response)
What it enables
- cheaper operations via schedule shifting
- safer recycling and industrial processes (temperature control)
- longer robot uptime, higher utilization
Near-term build list
- per-job energy estimation + metering
- “energy budget” constraints in the scheduler
- charging & maintenance dispatch integrated with production dispatch
