What it is

A “general factory” is feasible when setup + verification + scheduling become cheap and reliable. MatterFlow aims to make production capacity reconfigurable by standardizing:

interfaces (modules, packaging, tooling),
QA gates (acceptance tests),
and dispatch (scheduling across sites).

Two practical entry modes

Mode A — Operate a focused micro-factory first

Start narrow (e.g., building components, refurbished goods, standardized parts), prove:

yield,
changeover time,
and unit economics, then expand product families.

Mode B — Sell the MatterFlow OS to existing factories

Deliver immediate ROI through:

vision QC and sorting,
energy/utility optimization,
scheduling + traceability,
and private “factory copilots” (SOP + troubleshooting).

Gradient lens

Factories live on:

capability gradients (who can make it),
lead-time gradients (who can ship it fast),
quality gradients (who can hit spec reliably). MatterFlow’s advantage is raising conductance: fast changeover, fast inspection, stable control loops.
